Leicester's Cain to remain with Walsall

Leicester City youngster Michael Cain has had his loan spell with Walsall extended.

The 19-year old midfielder joined the Saddlers in later October on an initial one-month loan which has now been pushed back by a further month.

Cain, who has made six appearances for the League One side, was thrilled to be remaining at the Bescot Stadium as it gives him the chance to continue developing under manager Dean Smith.

"I knew this was a tough league but it's been a challenge that I have thrived on," Cain told the club's official site.

"The coaching staff and my teammates have been unbelievable and, even though I've only been here a month, I feel that I have learned a lot already.

"The style of play here suits me down to the ground and I was more than happy to extend my stay.

"There is nothing better than being out there and playing games and it's been a busy schedule, with plenty more games on the horizon."
