Leicester record-breaker Vardy: I did get carried away!

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy admits he lost it for his record-breaking goal celebration against Manchester United.

Vardy wrote his name into the Premier League record books, with the Leicester striker's opener in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United the 11th consecutive game in which he has found the target.

Speaking after breaking the record during Saturday evening's draw, Vardy said: "Yeah I'm obviously delighted but the main thing was the performance. I think we've put a very good shift in today and in the end a point was a fair result.

"We've got a lot of pace in the team and counter-attacking is a big advantage for us. If we can break as quick as we have straight from a corner to getting a goal obviously it's going to benefit the team.

"Yeah it's unbelievable, I think I got a bit carried away with myself. I don't think I can repeat it to be honest. (celebration).

"If I let it get to my head it affects my performance so I've just been keeping my head down and concentrate. It's just another game we want to get three points in."
