Leicester City assistant manager Craig Shakespeare has denied reports suggesting Esteban Cambiasso has been offered fresh terms, reports Sky Sports. The 34-year-old midfielder arrived at the King Power Stadium over the summer as a free agent following 10 years with Inter Milan.
The Argentinean's displays have been so impressive that a one-year extension has been discussed, with a transition into coaching also mooted.
Shakespeare told the Leicester Mercury: "That is news to me.
"Obviously, to draw on the experience he has got and where he has played would be great. I am not sure whether that is the route Esteban wants to go down.
"We will encourage all our players to take their coaching badges because it gives them an insight."
