Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy is attracting interest from Germany.

Despite an injury-plagued first season in England, Mendy's reputation remains intact for major Bundesliga clubs.

TF1 says Schalke 04 the VfL Wolfsburg have both made contact with Mendy's minders about a summer move.

The midfielder is eager to force his way back into the France team and feels he won't get a chance under current Foxes manager Craig Shakespeare.

Indeed, he could yet move within the Premier League, with Southampton and Everton also being mentioned as suitors.

The 24-year-old midfielder switched to the reigning champions last summer from Nice for around €15 million.
