Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater said that his teammate Shinji Okazaki deserved his special goal in the 1-0 win over Newcastle United at King Power Stadium.

The 29-year-old scored a spectacular overhead kick to claim all three points for the Foxes, propelling them five points clear of Tottenham at the top of the table.

Drinkwater said: "Shinji works his socks off, week-in, week-out, he deserves something like that.

"It was a special goal, a special moment for us.

"We can listen to other teams talk about catching us but the main focus is ourselves."
