Leicester City are closing on a deal for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

The Foxes have moved for the Iran international after selling Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City last week.

Iranian media source Vavanews says Jahanbakhsh is set for a medical with the Foxes in the coming days.

The attacker has two years on his AZ deal and scored a stunning 21 goals in the Eredivisie last season.

Along with Leicester, Jahanbakhsh had Napoli, West Ham United and Bournemouth also chasing his signature. AZ are seeking €25m to sell.
