Leicester City have revealed that they are considering canceling the contract of veteran defender Bruno Berner.

The 34-year old former Swiss international is yet to appear for the Foxes so far this season after playing more than 100 matches since his 2008 arrival from Blackburn Rovers and manager Nigel Pearson is looking to offload him this winter.

"We are trying to come to an agreement to settle his contract," said Pearson.

"He is a fantastic professional and a delight to work with, but players do move on."
