Leicester looking at former Bayer Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt

Leicester City are considering a move for ex-Bayer Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt, according to reports from The Sun.

Following two consecutive victories, caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare is touted to be appointed as manager of the Foxes at least until the end of the season but the club hierarchy are expected to make a more permanent appointment as replacement for Claudio Ranieri over the summer.

The likes of Roy Hodgson and Michael O'Neill have been mentioned as potential targets for Leicester but now according to reports, it has been claimed that the defending Premier League champions are currently looking closely at Schmidt who was sakes by Leverkusen on the weekend.

The 49-year-old has previously managed Red Bull Salzburg, SC Paderborn and Preussen Munster.
