Leicester City legend Steve Walsh wants to see Wes Morgan stay with the Foxes.
The arrival of Jonny Evans at City will provide a stern challenge to Morgan's regular starter status, despite being the club captain.
“Jonny is a great signing for the price," said Walsh to the Leicester Mercury.
“He could have gone for over £20 million in January. He will be a valued player.
“I have an allegiance to Wes. Wes, for me, still has a lot of value in that squad, even if he doesn't play every week. He may be ageing now but he still has lots to offer.
“When Peter Taylor was manager he was stupid enough to let me go when I could have been around and been a substitute, and come in certain situations to use that experience of my captaincy inside the squad.
“That is where City will need him. He has a huge presence."
