Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel remains hopeful of moving to Manchester United.
The Mirror says Schmeichel's hopes of a move to Manchester United are growing with Real Madrid plotting a fresh raid for David De Gea.
The star's father, United legend Peter Schmeichel, has admitted it would be a “fantastic dream" for him to swap Leicester for Old Trafford.
The likelihood is increasing with Madrid eyeing a move for United No.1 David De Gea after Gianluigi Donnarumma agreed a new deal at AC Milan.
United insiders believe a bid from Real is imminent as the two clubs prepare to meet on their US tour in Santa Clara on July 23.
United want to keep De Gea and will demand a fee in excess of £60million for the Spain goalkeeper.
But De Gea, who has two years left on his current contract, is open to joining the back-to-back European champions after nearly moving there in 2015.
It has left boss Jose Mourinho considering his options , with Schmeichel, who doesn't have a buy-out clause, among them.
