Leicester City have expressed interest in signing out of favour Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert, according to reports.

The 33-year-old journeyman secured a dream move to boyhood favourites Liverpool last summer, but scored just twice in 25 appearances in the league, and looks set to leave before the new season begins.

The Daily Mail reports that Leicester has joined Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion in vying for Lambert's signature.

The Foxes have already signed Japanese forward Shinji Okazaki this summer but could add Lambert to an already impressive strikeforce.
