Leicester forward Vardy will start the season with no regrets

Leicester City attacker Jamie Vardy has reiterated the fact that he does not regret rejecting a move to Arsenal last summer.

Following stunning performances during Leicester City's shock Premier League winning campaign in 2015/16, Vardy was a wanted man and Arsenal had made an approach to sign the England international last summer by activating his release clause.

However, Vardy decided to snub the advances of Arsenal to stay loyal to the Foxes and the 30-year-old has insisted that he does not regret his decision of not joining the Gunners last season.

Vardy said: "I have no regrets whatsoever. I have made some great decisions in my life. Since I have been here we have had play-off heartache to winning the league, battling relegation to stay in the league to avoiding relegation to finish mid-table.

"Who knows it might be another good season. We will have to wait and see what the club's plans are for where they want us finishing and we will be putting our all in to do that."
