Leicester drop out of race for ex-Man Utd midfielder Hargreaves

English Championship club Leicester City have dropped their interest in former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves.

The Canadian-born ex-England international is currently on the hunt for a new club after his contract at Old Trafford expired at the end of last season but he certainly won’t be pitching up with the Foxes according to manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.

"It will not happen now. If it was going to happen it would have already been done, but now it is too late,” he told BBC Radio Leicester.

"I can't reach him. I have only spoken to his agent and he has not come back to me, which is a little bit strange."
