Leicester City are demanding a cash offer from Manchester City for Riyad Mahrez.
The Mirror says Leicester are set to insist on a straight cash deal with City for Mahrez after snapping up James Maddison.
Manchester City starlet Patrick Roberts,21, was being mooted as a possible make-weight in the Mahrez deal.
But those plans are set to be ditched after Leicester agreed a move for Norwich starlet Maddison.
Leicester have agreed to pay £22million rising to £25m for attacking midfielder Maddison, also 21.
Former PFA player of the year Mahrez, 27, has 39 goals and 27 assists in 139 top-flight games for the Foxes with Pep Guardiola's champions determined to land him after missing out in January.
