Leicester defender Yohan Benalouane: Priority is Champions League

Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane says spirit is high at the club.

Benalouane has been strictly a reserve this season, though is hopeful of forcing his way into the first team.

He told TMW: "The team is fine. This year we have many commitments, both in Europe and in the league. I'm playing with the reserves and waiting for my time.

"One of our goals is to go forward in the Champions League, but we do not forget the championship, we want first of all to stay up, then we'll see."

On Riyad Mahrez, the defender added: "I am happy to see him on the list for the Ballon d'Or. He's not the only one, there is also (Jamie) Vardy. This is recognition for what has been done at Leicester."
