Hull City boss Nigel Pearson has swooped on Leicester City to secure the loan signing of Jack Hobbs. The defender has joined the Tigers until the end of the season after falling down the pecking order at Leicester in recent weeks.
"It will be good for Jack, of course," said Foxes boss Sven Goran Eriksson. "He is young, he is our player and he needs to play football.
"He is a good talent and you don't know how good he could be in the next couple of seasons.
"I don't think the manager of Hull would have asked him if he hasn't plans to play him.
"It is good for Jack. We loan him out but we do it for him and for ourselves as well. We want him to develop through playing as much football as possible."
Hobbs arrived at Leicester from Liverpool in the summer of 2009 and only last season was voted player of the year and players' player of the year.
