Leicester City have announced the appointment of Eduardo Macia as new Head of Senior Player Recruitment.

The 42-year-old will look to bring his wealth of expertise, gained at a host of European clubs, to the Premier League champions' current recruitment structure.

The Spaniard's has previously worked alongside Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri at Valencia and also counts Liverpool, Real Betis and Fiorentina among his former employers.

Leicester director of football, Jon Rudkin, said: “To appoint someone of Eduardo's calibre further highlights the Club's ambition to strengthen its standing in the game and to realise our owners' vision of success that is both lasting and sustainable."
