Leicester coach Hamann admits Liverpool ambitions

Didi Hamann is being linked with a return to Liverpool.

The Sunday Mirror says the former Reds ace would love to return to Anfield as Kenny Dalglish's No2.

Dalglish signed the German midfielder from Bayern Munich in 1998 when Newcastle boss.

Hamann joined the Reds a year later, spending seven ­successful seasons on ­Merseyside.

The 37-year-old, now No.2 to Sven-Goran Eriksson at ­Leicester City, said: "It is my dream to return to Liverpool. It is still a way off, as I still have to earn my stripes.

"I can work with Sven for the next 18 months, and it is a great opportunity for me."
