The Mirror says Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is considering a late market move for Sako.
Pearson has expressed frustration this week over failing to land his top transfer targets.
Sako, 26, has kicked off the Championship season in impressive form and Wolves boss Kenny Jackett will be reluctant to lose him.
