Leicester City wrapped up a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing yesterday.

The 21-year-old made his Liverpool debut in the Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven in December 2008 and will look to help the Foxes secure a Coca-Cola Championship play-off berth.

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric told the club's official website: "Jay is a great signing for the team, a player that should be a big help to us between now and the end of the season.

"We have been trying to do everything we can to ensure that we have the best chance possible of succeeding in this division."
