Leicester chairman denies Warnock claims

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has denied that Neil Warnock turned down the Foxes manager's job.

The former Sheffield United boss was linked with the club in the summer, and rumours emerged that the club had approached Warnock after Martin Allen was sacked last month.

But Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury : "He was never offered it. "I have not spoken to him about the job at all.

"In fact, I believe he would be the wrong man for us and made no approach to him at all.

"I have several names in my mind, but also there will be certain priorities and I will work hard to get who I feel is the right man."
