Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has accepted a charge by the Football Association after an incident with a fan during his side's 3-1 loss to Liverpool. An FA statement said that Pearson was alleged to have "used abusive and/or insulting words towards a spectator".
He has requested a personal hearing.
He declined to reveal what was said during the altercation with the fan, and refused to apologise, but said he felt it necessary to protect his players and himself from abuse.
