Leicester boss ready to offload unsettled players

Leicester boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has challenged any members of his squad who are currently out of favour to prove they are worthy of a place in the side. The Swede also confirmed he would not stand in the way of any unsettled players who were keen to leave the club in the January transfer window.

"You don't need to be an expert in football to understand they are unhappy. The fact is everyone has to compete for a place," said the Swede.

"I tell the players that they should come in with a smile and work and if they don't want to do that then the window is open in January. If you are not happy in the club then you shouldn't stay.

"I think there may be a few leaving in January. I am happy if they want to stay and I always say it is up to them to show me I have made a mistake."
