Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has urged Roma to convince Francesco Totti to play on.
Ranieri has never hid his support of the Giallorossi.
He told Corriere dello Sport: "Totti is a wonderful person and at the age of 39 can still make a big impact. I say that Jose Altafini used to come on for 15 minutes and score. Totti is so intelligent and should handle himself that way.
“As for my exit, I have one great quality, and that is I can sense when something is changing in the air at my clubs. Over the summer I'd already told the lads that it was a different atmosphere.
“I asked them if I was the problem, as I was more of a Roma fan than anyone, but they insisted that wasn't the case.
“People in Rome keep asking me about the Giampaolo Pazzini goal for Sampdoria that ended our Scudetto, but the fact is we dropped a lot of points that year. We managed one against a Livorno side that got relegated."
