Leicester boss Pearson will not appeal touchline ban

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has accepted the one-game touchline ban handed out to him by the Football Association.

The Foxes boss was found guilty of misconduct after clashing with a supporter during his side's 3-1 loss to Liverpool earlier in December.

Pearson was fined £10,000 and sent to the stands for the upcoming Boxing Day clash with Tottenham and has opted not to appeal the sanctions received for his behavior.

"No I'm not, I can't see any reason to," Pearson said. "I decided to go along to the personal hearing, which intrigued me to see how it went, so we'll get on with it now.

"I was going upstairs again anyway (on Friday) so it fits in quite well. It is what it is. I can't do anything about it now.

"I have been overwhelmed by the level of support from within the game, from managers, players, ex-colleagues and members of the media - it has been overwhelming.

"I would like to thank everyone who has given me that moral support.

"It is time to put the subject to bed, the ruling has been made on me and as always I will take it for what it is and move on."

Pearson's Leicester currently sit bottom of the Premier League table having lost 11 of their 17 fixtures thus far. They have not won since the remarkable 5-3 victory over Manchester United on September 21.
