Leicester boss Pearson counting on Albrighton Premier League experience

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has told Marc Albrighton he signed him from Aston Villa for his Premier League experience.

Pearson has told Albrighton he wants him to pass on that experience to his new City team-mates, many of whom have never played in the top flight before.

Albrighton said it was a role he was happy to play as City look to cement their place in the Premier League after their Championship title success.

"That was something the manager mentioned to me and it is something I will happily do," said Albrighton to the Leicester Mercury.

"I will provide any advice and try to help the lads out as much as possible with whatever we need.

"It is a bit different in the Premier League but I am sure the lads will adapt.

"As well as that, I am coming here to learn myself. I am only 24 and I want to keep developing as a player. I am sure I will do that here."
