Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is convinced Riyad Mahrez can have a big season in the Premier League.
However, Pearson reiterated that fans should not expect the 23-year-old to perform miracles every time he steps on to the field.
"He is a talented boy, there is no doubt about that," Pearson told the Leicester Mercury.
"My job as a manager is to make sure I protect my players and make sure they are exposed to a level of expectations internally that, maybe, is building on the outside.
"I have no doubt that he can deliver in the Premier League, but I also understand where he is at as a young man learning his trade.
"He is not going to be able to perform miracles week in and week out.
"This is a significant step up for any player, but I have no doubts he can perform at this level."
