Sven-Goran Eriksson wants to secure Sol Bamba to a new deal at Leicester City so he can ward off the interests of some Premier League clubs.
The 26-year old Ivory Coast defender has been impressive for the Foxes this season and had some interest from top flight clubs in the summer transfer window but Eriksson hopes he will remain at Walkers Stadium.
| "It has been discussed and there might be some improvement (to his contract)," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury.
"He has been very consistent. I have made many other good buys, but he is among my better buys, of course.
"If he goes on like this for the rest of the season, very good."
