Leicester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson says a move for Owen Hargreaves is still on the cards although he is unsure if the player wants to come.
The injury-prone 30-year old midfielder is out of contract after his deal with Manchester United expired at the end of last season and has been linked with a summer shift to Walkers Stadium to play under Eriksson.
But the Swedish tactician admits he is none the wiser as to what Hargreaves wants to do with his career.
“Yes, in one way we have tried to contact him. I've spoken to the agent now,” he told Skysports.com.
“It depends totally on Owen - the ball is in his court.
“It is difficult that he wants to come to the Championship and I am not sure he is 100 per cent fit at the moment, so right now it is on ice.
“I don't even know if he is fit or if he wants to play but if he wants to speak to us, we are more than willing.”
