The Daily Star says Sven Goran Eriksson will have a £10m war chest to boost Leicester's bid for a Premier League return.

The former England boss has been promised substantial funds by the Foxes' wealthy Thai owners.

Father and son multi-millionaires Vichai and Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn are determined to give the Swede a whopping transfer kitty in the New Year.

"I was asked by the owners, how much money do you want?" said Eriksson, who yesterday appointed Derek Fazackerley as his assistant.

Eriksson added: "The ambition is there to play Premier League football."
