Leicester to assess squad prior to Chelsea clash - Pearson

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has not ruled out making some changes to his line-up for the midweek meeting with Chelsea.

The Foxes have won four matches in a row to move out of the Premier League's drop zone and with a clash against league leaders Chelsea to come on Wednesday, Pearson may look to more winnable games to field his best possible eleven.

"My focus is Leicester City, we will always do what is best for us," he said.

"If we need to freshen it up, we will. (David) Nugent is injured, (Jeff) Schlupp is injured, (Jamie) Vardy had an injection in his foot just before the game. We will assess it.

"All we are interested in is that our fate is now in our hands and the longer we can keep that, the better the chance we have of surviving. All I'm interested in is keeping our players focused on winning games."

After the King Power Stadium meeting with runaway leaders Chelsea, Leicester meet Newcastle United, Southampton, Sunderland and QPR as they continue their run towards survival.
