Leicester to again make bid for Rangers' Jelavic

Leicester City are set to make another bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic according to reports.

The English Championship club offered £6.5million for the Croatian in August, which was rejected by the reigning Scottish champions, but it is believed the Foxes will up the ante to £7.5m in January.

Leicester's ambitious Thai owners are keen to give new boss Nigel Pearson something to work with for the second part of the season after a less-than-impressive beginning to the campaign under Sven-Goran Eriksson who departed the club by mutual consent at the end of October.

Jelavic has scored 30 goals in 40 starts in all competitions for 'Gers since his £4m move from Rapid Vienna in August 2010.
