Lehmann reopens battle with Arsenal rival Almunia

Jens Lehmann has taken a fresh pop at Arsenal goalkeeper rival Manuel Almunia.

Lehmann says shutting out cup holders AC Milan in the Champions League tie should be enough to guarantee his place and proves he is better than Almunia on the big occasions.

Lehmann, who has kept four clean sheets in his six games while deputising for Almunia in the past six weeks, said: "When I'm under pressure in big games, you can rely on me.

"I've played four or five games in a row, we will see how it goes on. With a goalless result, a keeper has not done much wrong. In my case, I have to think from game to game. A draw against AC Milan was a little disappointing but we did not concede."
