Lehmann happy to stay at Arsenal

Jens Lehmann is convinced he has a future at Arsenal.

Speaking to Germany's Bild am Sonntag newspaper, Lehmann said: "It could be that I will be playing often again at Arsenal. However, I believe that my coach Arsene Wenger does not necessarily plan on playing me. But I cannot allow myself anything else than to believe in my chance."

Lehmann also revealed how close he was close to rejoining Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.

Financial terms had been agreed but his family situation forced him to turn down the Bundesliga club.

"If I had opted for money, I would have come to Germany. But during the negotiations with Dortmund it turned out that it would have been unfavourable for my family to move for five months. I did not want my kids to switch school for such a short period."

Lehmann added he still expects to be playing at Euro 2008 despite a lack of first-team action in the last six months.

"The DFB coaches told me that I performed well during the qualification. We will see. I only know one thing for sure: I will be playing at the Euro."
