Lehmann hands Arsenal boss Wenger new selection dilemma

Jens Lehmann is expected to hand Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger a dilemma in the next 24 hours.

The Guardian says Lehmann is expected to declare himself available to play again after overcoming bone bruising in his elbow in time for Arsenal's opening Champions League group H match against Sevilla tomorrow.

It means Wenger has a selection decision and must weigh up whether Lehmann would be a disruptive influence if he is relegated to the substitutes' bench.

"I have read that (Manuel) Almunia said that he's earned the right to be No1," said Lehmann while on international duty last week. "But so far he has never won us any important matches. I expect to play again, if I am fit. The coach will let me play. He knows that and so do I. Whether I'm out for one week or longer or not is insignificant. In my four years in London I have missed no games because of injury."
