Leganes saw off stiff competition to land Southampton striker Guido Carrillo.
The Argentine has signed for the LaLiga outfit on a season-long loan.
Le 10 Sport says Bordeaux were also keen on Carrillo, who only signed for Saints in January from AS Monaco.
Bordeaux made direct contact with Carrillo about a return to Ligue 1, but the 27 year-old wanted to test himself in Spain.
The presence of former Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino was also key to the deal. The pair worked together at St Mary's and in Argentina with Estudiantes.
