Leeds United target loan striker

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is awaiting the answer of an unnamed striker after making a loan bid.

The Whites are without the injured Ross McCormack and are relying too heavily on Luciano Becchio, who has scored six of their 12 Championship goals so far this season, forcing Warnock into the loan transfer market.

"I've made an offer for a striker in the past 48 hours and I'm waiting to hear back," Warnock told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"I don't want to say too much but we need another striker. We'll be able to cope in most areas once a few injured players start coming back but we still look short up front."
