Championship club Leeds United have signed striker Billy Sharp.
The 28-year old has penned a two-year deal with the Whites, joining from Southampton, for whom he was contracted to for two-and-a-half-years.
Sharp was delighted to have finally sorted out his club future after to-ing and fro-ing with the Elland Road outfit for the past few seasons.
"For three or four years they have been on the verge of signing me but it's never really happened," he told Sky Sports.
"But I heard in the summer they were interested and I've held out for it and I'm really delighted. Can't wait to get going.
"A few other clubs were interested but Leeds wanted me the most and I'm happy to be at such as good club."
After arriving at Southampton in January 2012, former Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers ace Sharp spent time on loan with Nottingham Forest, Reading as well as a return to Doncaster.
During his time with the Saints, Sharp netted 10 goals in 18 outings but was unable to force his way into their Premier League side on a regular basis.
