Championship club Leeds United have sacked manager Simon Grayson and his coaching staff.
The Whites fell to 10th on the tier two table because of last night's 4-1 home loss to Birmingham City prompting the West Yorkshire club to end Grayson's reign.
The 42-year old recently ticked over three years in charge at Elland Road but will now step aside as Leeds look to push towards a promotion play-off place.
"We have 18 games to go this season and are still within touching distance of the play-offs, but felt with the transfer window now closed we needed to make the change at this time in the belief that a new managerial team will be able to get more out of the existing squad of players and make the difference," said Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey to the club's official website.
Youth team manager Neil Redfearn has been placed in temporary charge until a new manager is appointed.
