Leeds superkid Delph pleads guilty to drink driving

Leeds United superkid Fabian Delph is facing a heavy club fine after pleading guilty to drink driving.

The 19-year-old Leeds United midfielder, wanted by Manchester United and Arsenal, received an 18-month ban and £1400 fine this week for driving under the influence just before Christmas.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has confirmed Delph will be punished again by the club.

Grayson said: "He knows he has made a mistake. He has let down himself, his family, the club and the fans. That is why he has been punished. He deserved it and will learn from his mistakes.

"We spoke to him before the Southend game on Tuesday and said "don't try to do anything differently from your last four or five games just because of what happened this morning. You can't affect that any more. You are going to serve your punishment and it will be dealt with internally as well.

"We will draw a line under it but it is not something he is proud of or the club is proud of. It will be dealt with by us in the next few days. It is all about him playing football now."
