Leeds strike catering deal

ChampionshipLeeds United has appointed Levy Restaurants to handle catering at its home stadium, Elland Road, reports SportsPro. The company, which is the sport and leisure division of Compass Group UK and Ireland, is to manage food and drink provision on matchdays and non-matchdays. This will include operation of concessions stands, hospitality services, and conferencing and banqueting at the venue.

The five-year deal will begin on 1st October, with the club managing the transition until that point, while the existing Leeds United catering staff will be incorporated into Compass' on-site team.

Leeds United chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "We anticipate that Compass' expert sales team will help increase the demand for our facilities on non-match days from the national market, and believe their experience in this specialist sector will assist us in our desire to remain the number one choice in Leeds for conference and banqueting events."
