Leeds ready to deal in Bolton defender O'Brien

Leeds United are keen to close a deal for on-loan Bolton Wanderers defender Andy O'Brien.

Leeds have managed to secure the out-of-favour Wanderers defender on loan until January, after which manager Simon Grayson is set to make an offer for him.

O'Brien featured just three times for Bolton this season before being sent to Leeds in October and Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is ready to let the Republic of Ireland defender leave the Reebok permanently.

Grayson has been impressed with the 31-year-old's attitude at Elland Road and is now hopeful of agreeing a deal when the winter window opens.
