Leeds United are chasing Sassuolo striker Leonardo Pavoletti.
Leeds sports chief Nicola Salerno is in contact with Sassuolo about the availability of Pavoletti, says TMW.
Salerno is seeking a quick answer from the Serie A club and Pavoletti as Leeds want to do their transfer business early in January.
Pavoletti, 26, and standing at 6ft 2in, spent last season on-loan at Serie BVarese, where he scored 24 goals in 33 games.
Hoffenheim have also expressed interest in the striker this year.
