Birmingham City winger Gary McSheffrey can sign permanently with Leeds United.

The Mirror says McSheffrey has been promised a summer transfer to Leeds if they go up.

Midfielder McSheffrey, 27, has moved to League One promotion hopefuls Leeds from Birmingham on loan.

He made his debut in Leeds' home win over Colchester last weekend.

And the ace, who cost City £4million from Coventry in August 2006, is expected to agree terms on a permanent switch if Leeds reach the Championship.
