Leeds plan to use Arsenal Cup cash on more signings

Leeds United will use the cash generated from their FA Cup replay against Arsenal on new signings.

The promotion hopefuls have already £500,000 from the original tie.

Leeds chairman Ken Bates said: "It will be a big financial boost.

"In our budget we always assume we will be drawn away for both the FA and Carling Cups, knocked out in the first round, and have no TV coverage. The money we are getting from the Arsenal games will go straight into the coffers and help us continue to improve the club."
