Leeds United pair Robert Snodgrass and skipper Jonathan Howson are being tracked by West Bromwich Albion.
The People says Albion supremo Dan Ashworth and coach Michael Appleton watched the pair in action last week and are plotting a raid should the Baggies stay up and Leeds fail to win promotion.
Scotland international winger Snodgrass, 23, and 22-year-old midfielder Howson have been in top form this season.
Both would cost £2million-plus.
