Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has been suspended for 18 months.
The controversial Italian was also fined £250,000 after being found guilty of breaching the FA's football agent rules following the £10.75m sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham in 2014, says the Daily Star.
Cellino will appeal the ban, which starts on February 1, 2017.
But if upheld it means he will not be able to return to his position at the Championship club until September 2018.
His suspension is now expected to see him bring forward the sale of the club to Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani.
