Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is yet to make contact with former Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella.
Sabella, a former Leeds player, has expressed interest in the Elland Road job this week.
TMW says, however, for now Cellino is yet to reach out to Sabella, despite his comments.
Cellino needs to find a new manager after sacking Dave Hockaday and ruling out caretaker manager Neil Redfearn for the permanent job.
Rolando Maran remains a favourite for the post, having been out of work since April following his dismissal by Catania.
