Leeds United are moving for former Italy defender Alessandro Gamberini.
The Daily Express says Leeds are planning an ambitious swoop for Napoli defender Gamberini but face competition from Serie A side Chievo Verona.
Italian sources state Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is willing to sell Gamberini who has eight caps for his country.
The 32-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Genoa and news of Benitez's desire to sell has alerted United.
