The Sun says Zenden is a target for Leeds.
The 34-year-old wants regular first-team football when his current Stadium of Light deal expires at the end of the month.
Zenden is keen to move into coaching but feels he has at least one more playing season left in him and Leeds boss Simon Grayson is ready to hand the Dutchman a short-term deal to help boost another Championship promotion push.
